Pneumatic PN16 butterfly valve

Introduction

Pneumatic PN16 butterfly valve is a type of valve that is used to control the flow of fluids, gases or other substances in a pipeline. It is called "PTFE lined" because the inner surface of the valve is coated with a layer of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), which is a type of plastic known for its non-stick, non-reactive and acid resistant properties.


Working principle

The valve consists of a disc that is connected to a central spindle. When the spindle is turned, the disc rotates to open or close the valve. The PTFE lining on the disc provides a smooth and non-stick surface that helps to prevent any buildup of material that could cause the valve to stick or fail to operate properly. The lining also helps to protect the valve from corrosion and chemical attack.
